Alana Pagnutti is a curator based in London. Before moving to London, she worked as Associate Curator for the New York company, Grey Area; a company which seeks to change the way one experiences art by creating installations and products for the everyday. Prior to this, she completed her Master’s of Contemporary Art at The Sotheby’s Institute of Art as the valedictorian of her class. Her MA thesis, which received the Award of Distinction, was entitled, “Receptive Combines, Compositions and Crowds: The Radio-works of Robert Rauschenberg and John Cage.” It investigated a largely overlooked area of Rauschenberg’s and Cage’s foray into technology, specifically, their engagement with and incorporation of physical radios in their works. Alana completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Toronto.
